The intent of the Temp-IR-224 is to provide a means for the participant lab to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of practices, training, and measurement uncertainty relating to the ability of the lab to generate and measure infrared temperatures using a calibrated infrared thermometer. The participant infrared standard will be used as a source for all measurements.
This ILC/PT Kit contains an IR Thermometer with 0.1 °C resolution and 1% / 1 °C (whichever is greater) accuracy spec. Participants are asked to use their lab practices to make 8 measurements of temperature between -20 °C and 750 °C.
Participants are expected to be familiar with, and have appropriate lab equipment and measurement uncertainties for calibration of similar devices.
