NAPT COVID-19 Customer Message


Dear friends of NAPT,

 

We recognize that with the constantly changing COVID-19 situation around the world, this is an unprecedented time for everyone, so we want to assure you of our continued operation and support.

In response to the current situation, we’ve implemented our business continuity plan and have taken actions to ensure continued service to our customers while ensuring the safety of our staff and any who handle NAPT kits or packages.

NAPT is following the guidance of global health experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are reminding our employees about frequent hand washing, and we are regularly cleaning and disinfecting our equipment and packaging upon receipt and before shipping.

The WHO and CDC have stated that the likelihood of catching the COVID-19 virus by touching cardboard or other shipping containers is low. Despite this, we recommend packages received be allowed to sit for 24 hours prior to handling or opening. Further, we recommend the use of disinfectant and/or gloves when opening boxes. All kits should be cleaned prior to use and again prior to shipping. (DO NOT clean weights – always handle with gloves and/or forceps, and follow specific instructions for cleaning gage blocks.)

Communication is especially important during a crisis, so NAPT staff are reaching out to customers and providing guidance on a case-by-case basis. If your lab is not able to conduct a PT on the scheduled date, we are granting extensions as needed, substituting kits where possible, and rescheduling as necessary. Please DO NOT ship kits back to NAPT without contacting us first. If you are unable to perform a test, we will provide you with information about where to ship the kit and will work with you to reschedule the enrollment.
