The intent of this ILC/PT is to provide a means for the participant to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty relating to testing and calibration of 8.5 Digit Multimeters. Participants will generate known Direct and Low-frequency Signals and report the observed artifact readings. Participants will generate known AC voltage, and AC Current signals and report the observed artifact indications. This ILC/PT Kit contains an 8.5-digit DMM. Participants will use their lab practices to perform 15 measurements.
11 x AC Voltage Measurement (10 mV to 700 V) @ (20 Hz to 100 kHz)
4 x AC Current Measurements (100 µA to 1 A) @ (1 kHz to 5 kHz)
Participants are expected to be familiar with testing and calibration of 7.5 Digit Multimeters, have appropriate lab equipment and have measurement uncertainties appropriate for testing and calibration of similar devices.
This Premium & Travel Kit artifact offers a variety of ILC/PTs to choose from. By enrolling in the Premium 3458A/AC ILC/PT, participants can also enroll in the 3458A/DC ILC/PT at a reduced Premium Travel Kit Price (details available under Pricing in our Services section). Enrollment is subject to technical approval by the NAPT Technical Manager. If the enrollment doesn't best fit the technical capabilities a technical substitution will be made.
